Men and Women of CCA,
October has been designated by the Assemblies of God as Pastor’s Appreciation Month. We too want to celebrate our Pastor, (Pastor Paul and Lady Flo Nicholas) during October.
This year has been filled with unprecedented challenges for all of us, especially with COVID-19. Our Pastor heard the voice of God, and he led us from Church Service in his home via Facebook; past unbelief and fears of people, through faith and courage, to where we are now back at the Church; outside and inside praising God together. We are having weekly services, have had several Community outreaches to meet the needs of the people, and continue with weekly food distribution on Saturdays. Just like David, we too have said “Come let us go into the House of the Lord.” And God has used Pastor Paul to lead us to do it!
Pastor Paul has pushed past his own personal sickness, life circumstances, and obstacles to demonstrate the scripture to us; Galatians 6:9 – And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. We are saying, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith, (Galatian 6:10).
So we are celebrating our Pastors on Sunday, October 25th at the end of service. We will be receiving gifts until that Sunday morning. You can make monetary donations through the CCA’s website, by designating “Pastor’s Appreciation.” Checks can be made out to CCA and given to Minister Jeff Hoskins, Deaconess Shirley Morris, or Deacon Melvin Dunn. One check will be given on the 25th at the end of service. Special gifts, cards of appreciation, and whatever your heart proposes can be given to the aforementioned Board members, and those tokens of appreciation will be presented at the end of service that day. Thank you so much for helping us to tangibly demonstrate love to our pastors.
Minister Jeff Hoskins
